The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore would like to inform the public that exotic animals such as primates (eg. monkeys, slow loris), reptiles (eg. snakes, lizards, tortoises), small mammals (eg. sugar gliders, hedgehogs) and invertebrates (eg. scorpions, tarantulas) are not allowed to be kept or sold as pets in Singapore.
Anyone who has in his possession, or who sells, offers, displays or advertises for sale, any illegal animals may be fined up to $50,000 per animal or jailed up to 2 years or both under the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act. The administrator will not hesitate to forward contact details of any person posting such advertisements to the Authority for enforcement actions.

We have today received a report on a scammer deceiving buyers into parting with cash for non-existent goods.
In the case the transaction involved mobile phones.
We urge all users of Singapore Classifieds to exercise caution when dealing with third parties supporting to be genuine buyers or sellers.
While we can close scammers’ accounts, there is no way to stop a scammer from using another email address or identity to open a new account.

We have today deleted a new user and his/her 14 ads promoting the sale of pirated luxury brands. The user came from IP number 116.23.241.2 (CHINA). The user and IP number have been blocked from our Web site.
Singapore Classifieds will not hesitate to remove offensive ads.
